Best mobile for short code text comps

I'd like to have a separate phone that I can put credit on each month to enter text to win comps. Am I right in thinking that some don't do short code numbers for instance - 61160?

Does anyone have any advice on what phone/deal/company to use?

Thanks

I am with o2 and initially had a problem entering short code comps.

However, I phoned their helpline, and the problem was speedily resolved.

    Good luck!

You can get a dual sim phone, so you can put 2 sim cards in ... then you don't need to have 2 phones.

Can get something like the Honor10 Lite or Honor 20 Lite for less than £200 and it will do as your main phone, they're good phones (I'm still using an Honor9 as my main handset). So you could, in theory, sell whatever phone you have now and use the cash to put towards a new phone ... depends what you're using as your main phone at the moment.
