Hi all - just to say hello and that I've replied to pm'd requesting the guide and e-mailed you too.

Hello to newbies! You will now have the guide in your inbox - read it and give it ago - then come along here for inspiration, we'll support you and explain all!

To clarify re IP addresses - the cashback sites make an allowance per member - so if you try with Loyalty Shopper for example and the daily allowance was 1 click on Kelkoo, they may get annoyed if you try 5 times. However, they won't 'tell' on you to another site, you simply will only get paid for one click. It may be that sites like Quidco are a little more strict than that so do be careful and stick to your daily allowances.

In terms of cashback sites you can join as many or as few as you like, just ensure you have the time to do it.

Do not get distracted by the pop up windows and adverts, they will increase the amount of time you spend clicking and probably persuade you to part with money! Sometimes that's fine, if it was something you were going to buy anyway but only to get some cashback.

In terms of the tracking of each click, not all sites will tell you 'you have just earned 2p' for example - you will just have to log on and every week you will notice a change in your balance (you might notice it daily, if you do enough clicks and if you are beady-eyed!).

I will be away the next couple of days but will pop in here then and also answer any questions.

Thanks by the way to those of you who have sent such personal messages explaining your circumstances and how this clicking aims to get you out of debt, or altready has. I'm really glad and aim to help as much as possible so do pop by this thread often and get motivated for that FREE Christmas cash!

Thanks, have been doing some of my own research and it seems that it doesn't need to be declared if it is personal as cashback is treated as a discount. It may be taxable if the purchases are relating to your business.. obviously that shouldn't apply to daily clicks.
^^ For Chatterboxbodil - don't know for sure but as far as I can tell its not taxable.. if you are still worried check with someone who understands it better than I do!
  • Thank you will read the guide and check with the tax credits thread!

Cheers for the guide EagerLeaner, I've just signed up to all the sites and used you're referrals.

I'm going to start tomorrow and will post an update in a week or so to let everyone know how I'm doing.

I'm hoping in a few months I'll have enough cash to buy an external hard drive, fingers crossed :)
  • Thanks EL for the help re IP addresses... it was just that a few of the actual price comparison site's notes said they had tracking software for IPs, does anyone know if this is true or not?!?

I too am going to save up for something, I don't know what yet though!!

    Hi All,
Hope this helps to clarify the IP and tracking questions - it is not cashback sites that track IP's nor do they have any software (or time) to do this. They rely on the the affiliate companies to provide the user ID of the person who made the click so they can pay them the cashback. Providing no one gets silly and makes several clicks a day from the same site then there should never be any issues. I got this answer back from a cashback site.
    Regards
