Anyone having trouble with fatcheese website? I can't seem to reach the daily clicks page, it's gone? and my bookmarks directly to some of the original daily clicks throw up errors now. I know they were in the process of moving servers, so I'm assuming this is affecting it.

I noticed this a day or two ago, try "comparison sites" ;)

here is a quick tip for those with static IP address like me...

you can change your IP address via your router, to give you another IP address... I do this by adjusting my mac address by one digit.

Ive just tried that and found even though shown as connected couldnt get any webpages ( no packets going in and out etc)

I changed last mac address digit from 7 to 8. ( Would powering down computer, turning modem/router off etc solve that)

For those who would like to try and have Netgear router :

    http://www.routerlogin.net

    Username : admin

Password : password ( unless you set up your own password for router)

Many thanks for these. I was actually putting BuyCentral, PriceDigger, Xtreme Deals etc into the search box. It's so much better and quicker when you have the actual page. icon7.gif

I guess it is because they're updating the site, but at least I know where to find them now.

I should have mentioned that you must restart your modem/router.... you don't need to reboot your computer.....

I use linksys, where the username and password are admin - for those who want to give it ago.. type in 192.168.1.1

then go into status, note down the mac address
go to setup >>>> mac address clone
    enable mac address clone
then type in the mac address, changing by one digit - I usually change my 66 to 67

Alternative you can just press clone and a mac address will be generate for you - however this method work only for a week or so - then stop working (not sure why) - so I just change my existing mac address by one digit - works all the time..

then restart your modem and router...

if after doing the above, it is not working - in the status section, click dhcp renew and restart your router only.... that sorts it out for me...

Who are you with out of interest, a lot of us are with Virgin, we tend to need to turn off Modem/PC then power on Modem wait a few mins then power on PC when resetting. I did actually manage to change the IP address and have connection with webpages, turned PC off when i went out on my return had connection/google search results etc but couldnt get any web pages for ages and ages, everything started working more by luck. _pale_

I am with virgin media as well... I just restart my router/modem.... sometimes if the change doesn't work, I release and then renew my ip (dhcp) and restart my router... which usually does the trick.... In my experience you don't need to reboot your PC... only the router/modem.. I don't even close my browser when I change my IP - yet alone reboot my PC...

I would suggest experiment for a while, you soon find the best way.... But you definitely can change IP through your router - I am doing it for my daily clicks - so it is possible...

The cordless rodent is very sensitive – he claims it’s character assassination.
That smug self-satisfied cat is very disconcerting, and amounts to intimidation, threat and malice aforethought, he squeaks.

At least that’s what I think he said – it just sounded like click click click click click click click click etc. :p
