omg, I have just had a phone call from Dept management ?

He said you have just applied on our web site ?
I said no I have not,
and he said you visited our web site at 2pm,
then I realised It was me doing the click throughs !!!

I said even if I did visit your site by accident , how did you get my details ? and he couldnt answer.

Now Im worried sick , he said he needed to know cos they pay sites to advertise .

    WHATS GOING ON , HELP.
Did you do any offers like MyOffers or Win 4 Now etc? Some of these have options when you enter to be contacted by specific companies. You usually have to opt-out of being contacted.

Hi Bruce, no I didnt do any of them , all I did was log in to
fat cheese then do the click throughs , alot of them were about money sites .

It is really strange and creepy that he knew I looked at their web site at 2pm , I now feel too afraid to do it again , but from what I have read its not illegal ?

There is absolutely no way that any of them would know your phone number, unless you gave it to them.

PaulB79 - Welcome to the thread. Comparethemarket (CTM) has recently changed affiliate networks. Others have stated on various forums that CTM has only tracked once since the change.

Don't know when you clicked on CTM however there is a delay in reporting. Andy the owner of Quidsinuk posted the following on 7th April. "Ive been incontact with the account manager for the new CTM program. It appears that tracking is running correctly, however the actual reporting is delayed. There's no estimate as to when this will catch up with itself though."

MBM has the following under t&cs for CTM - "A quote is defined as the list of prices generated after the quotee's details are entered. No moneyback if you have received a quote from comparethemarket.com via a different source in the last 90 days."

Taking the above into account I don't think CTM should be technically classed as a daily click, instead it should be in the no purchase required sections. I think it is 1 of those clicks where you have to give different details i.e. relatives, friends in order to get it to track on a daily basis. I don't do CTM so can't give you any more information. Fingers crossed Eagerlearner or someone else will be along shortly and let you know if they have had any track recently. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Mirry - Sorry for not replying sooner. I know other clickers use Roboform to help them speed up the process of doing the insurance quotes. I don't use Roboform and I've never had any problems with clicks connected to Fatcheese. Like you said I think Roboform has filled in your details and you have accidently pressed submit/enter along the way. I wouldn't be too worried you haven't done anything illegal, you might just get a bit more spam (phone, SMS,mail). Please don't let this put you off using cashback sites and doing daily clicks. Do you enter competitions by any chance?

get a free sim card , use one/ some/ all of the signups and get some cash:T
and use that number, use the mobile number as your home number:D

Mirry - Topcashback will tell you if you are not logged in. The following message will come up when you try to click through to a retailers site.
"Please note: You are not currently logged in and so will not earn any cash back for any purchases made."

To sign in to Topcashback click the sign in/view account at the top of the site in the green strip. It will get easier and quicker once you know your way around all the sites. It might be a good idea to stick to 1 or 2 sites until you get the hang of it.
