  • Hi EagerLearner!

Thankyou again so much for sending me the clicks guide - it's so helpful, and must have taken you hours! I’m on my 3rd day of clicking now and getting well into it. I’ve started off doing 4 or 5 sites...was going to start with 8, but soon realised that wouldn't be realistic! It seems to be taking me me an hour and a half so far but am hoping to get that down to an hour with practice. I’d be quite happy with an hour a night, as I can do it when OH watches one of his boring car or footie programmes on telly! But an hour and a half is a bit much, it’s making my eyes go funny! Please someone tell me it will get quicker?

My goal is to make extra money to put towards my uni course which I am starting in September...the fees are extortionate, and I’m already in debt from my first uni degree so all extra money is welcome! I'll start updating my sig once the sites start paying out in 12-14 weeks :D

I just have a few questions (sorry!)
    * With the car insurance comparisons, can you do those every day across all the different sites, with the same details? I am worried they will start to recognise my name and details after a while and stop letting me do it.
    * Some of the links which allow you 2 or 3 searches e.g. Cascade compare - how do you get them to track 3 times? I’ve been doing 3 searches but it’s only appearing on my statement as 1 on some of the sites?
    * Comparethemarket - can you do both car and van insurance quotes on the same day, or just 1 of them per day?
    * Wepromiseto - am I right in thinking there’s only 1 click on there, and that’s Highstreetweb? What about Pigsback - they arent on the spreadsheet, do they have daily clicks?
    * I'm interested in doing the Lovefilm trial through a cashback site, as me and OH love watching DVD's anyway...I just wanted to check that it would be easy enough to cancel after the free trial? I don't want it to end up costing me money!

Thanks in advance for answers to my questions, and thankyou SO much for the help and advice so far - you're a star!

In theory car comparisons is a daily click but from what people have told me is its best to do one search maybe every 3 days and make slight alterations like change email addy u use for diff searches and maybee do search for diff car make etc.
As for cascade compare as far as im aware they allow 2 or 3 searches a day depending on what site you use but its best to do a search and give it a few hours before you do another search so it looks like you are genuinely interested in what you are looking for and not just doing it for the click money.
One other thing if you are doing more than one site you wil need to clear cookies after leaving a site

  • Hello eagerlearner

Just PM'd you for the guide, look forward to recieving it.

    Thank you
  • Hi everyone,
I'm new at this and have just registered with several CB sites.
I realise that I need to clear cookies before going on to a new CB site, but does that mean that I'm clearing some information needed by teh site I just left?
Or do they grab the info for tracking immediately and then its OK to move on.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, just don't want to do all this clicking and find nothing is tracked!
Also, been seeing lots of mentions of EagerLearners clicking guide and woudl love to have a copy, if anyone can forward one to me, would really appreciate it. Or tell me how to get one. Thanks

Just seen a reply on the credit card forum to my message below - Marie

    Hi

I have posted this on the credit card forum but thought I would ask here too. I have checked everywhere I can think of on the MSE site and not seen an answer anywhere else.

I want to apply for a Barclaycard so I can transfer the balance from my current credit card and wondered if there were any cashback sites offering cashback. I have looked at Quidco, TCB, Cashback Rewards, Cashinco, RPoints and Loyalty Shopper (these are all the ones I do) and have also used the cashback checker on the MSE site but Barclaycard does not come up anywhere. I am just doing a final check to make sure I don't miss out on a cashback opportunity that's all.

    Thanks
    Marie

Hi all - just thought I'd suggest this site before I forget:
    www.volunteer4panels.com

They may then invite you to join Consumer Pulse, who I make £10 every 8 to 10 weeks from. You just fill in surveys about your purchases each week - ie: frills purchases like beauty, clothes, entertainment etc.

Also welcome to any newbies - do start slowly and then build up as you get used to things, and find your own routine and pace.

Pam Paradise - PM me your e-mail addy and I will e-mail you the guide.

In answer to 'Where's Kate' yes I had wondered that - she introduced me to the concept way back when - maybe she's retired on all our activities he he! I am sure she is well and just felt that all the updating was taking too much of her time if not many folks were checking the site, who knows.

Glitterjunkie are you settled in ok now? Do see post #1 and also replies from others on here on those topics but otherwise drop a message on here re any bits you are still unsure of and I will do my best to help out when I next log in. Also Pigsback are not oth there as their clicks vary week to week, and even lately there have been very few clicks...

In terms of which Cashback site is best for a certain supplier, I have found Martin's comparison tool very useful:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-sites-comparison/

Also, please do see my latest blog entries as some new recipes have been uploaded as well as a very useful food website that sells low cost food, I am placing my first order today and will let you all know how it goes.
