Overpayment Advice needed

Hello,
I'm new to the forum, so I apologise if this has been raised else where, I have searched this morning but cannot find the answer - so decided to post.
I have a Curry's store loan for a Gadget. I have £500 which i am wanting to pay off of this loan, however I have been given an option of paying this from the length of the plan or reducing the monthly amount.
I'm not sure which is the best option to do.
£1238 - Original loan
36 mths - length of Plan - I have paid 10 months already
£47.56 - Monthly Payment
Any advice would be appreciated, as i'm trying to reduce my debts down.
