Living with my girlfriend

Hi there
Cross posted from marriage/relationships as not sure where best to ask!
I have my own house, on mortgage, but in my name.
My girlfriend is thinking about moving in and we have discussed her paying an amount towards mortgage, bills etc - we have looked at about £500 per month.
My question is - would this be seen as something I should declare on my tax form as an income?
Many thanks

No it wouldn't be an income unless applying for benefits or you're on benefits then everything has to be declared from both of you.
As for SocaJams reply I think they are referring to if it all goes wrong and she has paid towards the mortgage then she can claim rights to ownership of the house so people on these forums advise not to take contributions to mortgage off a spouse unless you're 100% sire you're together foreverMortgage started August 2020 £69,700
