Re-usable toilet 'paper'

I do this - just for No. 1s though as you say. I am using old cloth washable breast pads and keep the clean ones in a little tub. I have a small pedal bin in the bathroom where I put the used ones and then they go in a small zippable laundry bag in with a normal clothes wash. It's just me though - DH and DDs think I'm a bit mad. I like it though as cloth is gentler than paper down below x
Oh thanks Kat...you've encouraged me0 -

I'd rather get a washlet toilet than go with cloth (we have been talking about one anyway as you do feel so much cleaner!). You can even get washlets with 'blow driers' too so it cleans and dries you. Much better as water etc would be used in the cloth method anyway.
I think when I get my bathroom re-done (2 years....?) I may look at bidet/washlet/gerbit loo....depending if I can afford0 -
We use reusable washable cloths instead of baby wipes for the little one. No reason you couldn't do the same for adult faecees, how odd, autocorrect doesn't have that one. bigger bits of solid get rinsed out in the bowl, the rest disappears in a wash. But I'm not sure it's worth the extra effort over biodegradable toilet roll instead of the eternal baby wipe.8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.0

Good shower head with a jet function is what you need.0

Having soft, disposable toilet tissue is one of the main benefits I see in modern life -v- anything earlier than 1970.
Not for me0 -
I am curious to try Greencane too.0

We tried whogivesacrap but weren't overly impressed (bought their sample pack). The idea is good but for whatever reason they can't yet match the softness and durability of "normal" paper - shame.1

I travel a lot and in a lot of countries this is the only option...
A hell of a lot cleaner IMHO and why I installed a bidet/shattaf head to the cistern when I was redoing the bathroom a couple of years ago.
Didnt go the full japanese toilet seat option but was sorely tempted!....0
