    It is possible. but can get complicated (on the timing of things), the simplest way to do it is extend the lease first, then sell.

    Simplest for who? Not you, you need to get a charge put against the property and get the contracts sorted.

    It isn't too much trouble. I am a chartered quantity surveyor and I'm quite familiar with contracts.
