Bankruptcy and mortgage

Hello,
My husband and I both went Bankrupt 3 years ago due to the surprise arrival of twins.
We have been discharged 2 years and things are good.
When is the earliest we could apply for a mortgage with “normal” interest rates.
Also, is it 6 years from Bankruptcy or 6 years from discharge that most will consider us.
We have a £50000 deposit and currently pay £2000 pcm rent! Just seems a lot and more than a mortgage may be!!
Thanks in advance.

3 years discharged gives you a handful of lenders at normal rates.
Some lenders will work from 6 years registered the majority 6 years discharged. But with that size deposit and evidence of paying rent, I reckon you will have options after 3 years.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
