Fixed Rate Ending in July

Hello,
My fixed rate ends in July 2020 and I just want to know if I choose to go with a new fixed rate deal from Santander do they do the credit checking procedure again? or do I just pick a new rate?
My worry is my credit rating is not as good as when I took the mortgage out but I have never missed a mortgage payment.

As far as I know, if you stick with the same company, they generally don't underwrite it again. It's only if you try and remortgage with a different company.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

If you stay with Santander they don't credit or affordability checks again as you passed before. Its really straight forward to switch to a new deal

Thank you Moneyminded, I'll be staying with Santander.
I've just checked and I can switch 4 months early (March) so that's great news0
