Mortgage using student loans

Is it possible to get a mortgage with student loans and tax credits as income? I'm expecting ting to be in a teaching post in September. My partner has £100,000 to put down in cash, we are looking at a £145,000 house.
He has a shocking credit history and also just started a new job. I'm waiting for old house to sell, currently renting so want to move as soon as poss rather as has we want to buy is vacant and would save throwing £1,000 rental money away each month! Expecting my share from the sale to be around £40,000
Is there a way for us to get a mortgage for £45,000 now?

I am afraid loans are not income.

Is it student loan or a stipend?

If a student loan, as above.
    If a stipend, then possibly.
