Thanks! Wouldn’t have worked for me anyway. Fidelity limits its SIPP offering to “residents of UK only”. I am in Canada.0 -
Ok, its been a year and I am satisfied with the X-O SIPP account. My experience:
1. Very basic, dated software. Not what I am used to. Provides no information on investments beyond account totals. All research has to be done elsewhere. Which is what I would do anyway.2. Buying and selling process is simple enough. Slight irritation point: does not show how old is the current bid/ask price X-O displays. Does not include level 2 market data either. Not that these things matter all that much for “buy and hold” type of investor.
3. Very responsive and helpful staff. My “problem” was lack of UK residency which proved insurmountable for the likes of AJ Bell. X-O made the effort to understand the situation. A few other queries that I had received immediate attention and satisfactory responses.
4. The first year is advertised as “free”. Was surprised to see charges. They reimbursed these charges after a month or two. Created hustle; wish they just never charged. Minor irritation.Overall, X-O does the job well and the charges are low compared to other platforms.2 -
SIPP administration is outsourced. Charged by Gaudi but Jarvis reimburse. Hence the delay. Not helped by Jarvis staff working from home I'd suggest.Deleted_User said:
