Hi there, I would be grateful for any advice on getting an interest only mortgage while our house is for sale. I am taking early retirement in Jan 2020 and other half is self employed. He earns 30k per annum and my pension is 5k PA. he is 60, I'm 58 in Jan.
House is up for sale at 225k with 93k left on mortgage. We're just wondering if we could reduce outgoings while house is waiting to sell ?
Thanks ! Rubyminx

I would expect the chances of an interest free mortgage to be non-existent. Did you mean interest-only?

I was going to pass on this one too... then I thought 'why on earth would any financial institution give an interest free mortgage?'

You can only ask. Is it on the grounds of financial hardship?

if you want a quick sale, price the house accordingly so you reduce the time waiting for the house
