This fix term contract is with ending date of September, and it will be renewed but probably for the next 4-5 months - the company just doesn’t give perms so easy.
It is my first fixed term as In September I left previous company where I had perm contract because the new company offered me 2x more money and it made difference. Now I see that it makes the biggest mess in our situation.

I know that the mortgage is a different thing that the pay monthly phone plan but honestly we have been trying plenty of times going to different providers asking for the lowest offer in the middle of the year and every single application has been declined.
After some months of taking credit cards we just decided to try once more and surprisingly we have been accepted.
We also applied for broadband, and it came trough (5 months ago we have been refused).
That’s why for me it looks like using credit cards really changed the situation.

Have been contacting another broker in the meantime and explaining the situation and she said “you have to wait for credit score to raise to apply” without the further explanation.

Their not allowed to say as that could be construed as advice and open them up to liability

The question is do you trust your broker?

Did you get your broker from an estate agent? if you did bad move

I'm afraid you will need to be patient with such limited credit history, the ongoing score is meaningless to lenders

My broker has been advising my friends who have been accepted being in the UK for around a year, without any credit card and pay monthly plan, and they have been given an offer from Halifax.

This is why I am so confused, as without any credit agreement we have been refused literally everything, and right now it has changed.

So you think guys it is impossible to be accepted right now? We can pay more interest rates, really, but the first criterium is passing basic credit score check what is made automatically by the system and that's why we feel that we got stuck :(

I dont think that is an actual rule. I cant see it on the code of conduct on the site
