Hi guys, scoured the forums but couldnt find much, everyone seems to want big 32" things.
I'm looking for a 19" LCD TV for a bedroom, HD Ready would be a preference. Am i being stupid by setting a budget of around £150?
Cheers in advance guys.

Hi,
I've also been looking, cheapest I've seen is £149 in Argos.0 -
I recently bought the Accoustic Solutions 19 inch HD ready TV/DVD combi for £165 (on special at the time).
I'm really impressed with the quality.
I noticed in todays paper it's down to £189.99 just now.
Great value in my opinion. Even if you don;t like it you could take it back for refund up to 16 days after purchase - plus Argos are doing their £10 voucher for spends over £100 again.
Item code is 529/30870 -
it's now 30 days not 16! they changed their time frame back in January 07
And if you gonna buy it, buy the gift vouchers 1st.
If you buy 2 lot's of £100 gift vouchers, you get £20 free.
The TV will then cost you just £169.99 and you still get the change in the form of another voucher which you can use ant another time... and the added bonus is that for buying the Tv with the vouchers, you still get a £10 after the purchase... knocking the TV down to £159.99Raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer UK and Macmillan... doing a sponsored 10k skydive for both charities.

i believe you can't buy gift vouchers and get a £10 gift voucher given back to you....well says not in the T & Cs anyway lol0 -

DONT buy it as afaik it is just an anlogue TV and will become just a dvd player in a year or two.Cos there will be no analogue tv sooner than you think.
Get this Freeview hd ready set for the same price!!

I have an LG 19" HD ready Digital TV .. it really does deliver fantastic quality (3000:1 brightnes vs 450:1 brightness on an 'el cheapo TV)
It was 249 though.. if I was on a budget and looking for quality and price, i'd buy it's analogue cousin and plug a freeview box into it

I'm not sure about the whole digital and analgue thing but this TV will always have the Virgin cable on it. Does this make a difference as to which one i get cause i dont need freeview.

No if you plug a cable box into any analogue TV it will act as a video monitor by-passing the built in tuner. The analogue TVs will get cheaper as digital switchover gets nearer, cos at the specified year they will switch the BBC 1/2, ITV, Ch4 and Ch5 transmitters off in your region.
EG the Northwest region will be digital only in 2009, so anyone watching Granada or Border ( sooner in 2008, Whitehaven already has switched over) via an aerial, will have to find a digital box, whether Freeview, Cable or Sky to still use their old TV
The Acoustic Solutions19" Freeview and HD ready, reduced from £199 to £149 mentioned in my previous post is the best buy, that is if you dont want the dvd in op.
