Help to buy and Santander

Good morning. Just wondering if anyone else used the help to buy equality loan scheme and used Santander? So far our full mortgage application was submitted 2 weeks ago and valuation is booked for 6th Jan, just got the authority to proceed from help to buy this morning. Is it normal that the lender will wait to issue the offer until they know we have the authority to proceed? As originally the valuation was booked a couple days after we submitted full mortgage application then for some reason it was changed to the 6th Jan. just wondering if anyone knows maybe that’s why they’ve delayed the valuation a bit because we didn’t have the authority to proceed until now? Thanks

No. Santander doesn't require the ATP before the offer is issued.
Reason for the valuation delay? Probably just Xmas/NY and nothing to do with you, specifically.
When was your PIF submitted to the HTB Agent as new apps have been closed since 16 Dec since the announcement the number of Agents is being cut to two from today?I am a mortgage broker. Ok thanks for that makes sense I guess. Our help to buy application was submitted by our broker the same time our mortgage application was submitted. We had an email from help to buy this morning that we have the ATP now0

Presumably this is a purchase in England?
Your HTB case will now be passed to the new HTB Agent for the area to see it through to completion.
Radian remains the HTB Agent for the South, BPHA has the contract for London & Midlands and Plus Dane for the North.I am a mortgage broker.
