Halifax mortgage

Hi there, looking for some advice.
I am a first time buyer, have a perfect 999 credit score and have no debt or overdrafts except my car payment of £130 a month.
Partner has a poor score, has a credit card thats only used for fuel and paid in full every month. But... he has a satisfied CCJ which is 5 years old.
We have had an agreement in principle with halifax but not sure how accurate they are and im scared it will get declined at the full check.
We have a 10% deposit.
Anyone been in our position?
Earn £60k a year between us.
Thanks in advance!

Have you submitted a full application or have you not yet had an offer accepted on a property?
How far off making a 15% deposit are you?0 -
Hi, thanks for replying. I should have mentioned its a new build we are going for. We could get 15% if we had to, just wait a bit longer.0

Not done a full application yet, only the AIP0

Apparently Halifax AIPs rarely get declined at full check.
How much is the new build?0 -
Oh i hope not as apart from that theres nothing, no missed payments, no late payments, nothing at all. 220k.0

At a mortgage of 198k, it's well within your affordability then, as with 60k you'll be entitled to 240-270k minus the pcp payments0

If you told Halifax of your partners credit history and answered all questions accurately then you should be fine.
One thing that may slip you up is LTV level if the builder is not on their approved list.0 -
Asm89 thanks for replying, yes we can definitely afford it, i know that. We pay everything and do not have a single red mark, its literally just this 5 yr old ccj. Which was actually defaulted 9 years ago but the ccj was only registered 5 years ago which is annoying.
Foxy stoat, i have been completely honest on my AIP so hopefully we might be ok.
Thanks everyone for your opinions and advice you have been really helpful.0
