    Probably quite expensive then. My remortgage legals through the company I use are £299 for a basic residential case and then the extras on top. Usually £500 should cover a remortgage plus transfer of equity as well.

    If it hasn't gone too far then either look for a cheaper option, or just crack on with the costs as they are
