From January 2020 to January 2026 — what a six‑year journey it’s been.
Loan fully paid off. No credit card debt. Just the mortgage left.
In that time we bought a house, cleared our debts, saved for a baby, and both moved forward in our careers. We managed all of this without ever needing to pause our pension contributions.
We’ve now built a six‑month emergency fund and have over £12k invested across two Stocks & Shares ISAs. We’ve even started investing for the baby with both a Junior SIPP and a Junior Stocks & Shares ISA.
Feeling really optimistic about what 2026 has in store.
