I've just caught up with all your news what a wonderful couple of weeks you've had. I admire the fact that all the while you were struggling and being weighed down by debt and clutter you didn't give up. You're now reaping the rewards so well done you. Its a lovely feeling being debt free and, apart from your mortgage, that will be you soon.
I had an email from BG crediting me with £65 because of a cancelled appointment. I didn't know I had one anyway 😂😂.
Enjoy your weekend x5 -
Thank you, you tooWinterWarrior said:Have a great weekend ⭐️ Some weeks are just spendy!

Thank you, it will be amazing to be debt free.
Congrats on the £65 from BG, even better if you weren't expecting an appointment

I've tidied around this morning, hoovered around and put the kids bedding in the wash. I find it annoying that by the time I've tidied and done the basics, I've either run out of time or lost the inclination to do any more. So the non-essential jobs just never get done. I long for the day when we have less stuff, so it's not a huge undertaking to move and tidy it all!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi Jwil, I've been missing for the past year (needed head space) and have just caught up with your diary. You are doing amazing and well done on how much you have paid off your mortgage.
Take care xx7 -

I haven't posted for ages. It's all been rather busy.
We've been self isolating this week, as little miss got sent home from school with a cough. I got her tested and it's negative thankfully so they can go back tomorrow. It hasn't affected me with work obviously apart from having to collect and go and get the test done. It was nice not to have to do the school run though! The kids are off anyway on Thursday and Friday, so only one day to go.
My spendy spenderson habits have continued which is not good. I'll be reigning it in. I did have a £10 voucher for prime day so used that on a couple of slimming cookbooks. I just ought to use them now! They've arrived today so I'll have a look at them tonight. I've been making an effort to eat a lot more fruit and veg (including a lot more variety). I finally replaced the battery in my scales and was pleased to find I haven't put on weight, so I'm still about 1st off what I was pre-Covid. I must try and make the effort to get that off.
Hope everyone is well

When I was losing weight I concentrated on eating loads more fruit and veg. It seemed to help as the goal was more and not less so it seemed easier, if that makes sense?
On the spending, all the diaries I have dipped into today are flagging up overspending as an issue so you are not alone
