Hi
Whilst at school, my DS took part in a student exchange with a school in Germany. Since then, we have exchanged Christmas gifts with the exchange family.
I'm stuck what I can buy them this year. We generally buy a gift that can be shared amongst the whole family and I'd welcome any ideas you may have.
Thanks.

Hiya Ms Chocaholic
Don't know how old they all are & how much you want to spend? Apart from the usual choccies, Pannetone (oops v bad spelling) what about a game they can all play? Bop It was on offer in woollies couple of weeks ago & Uno extreme is on offer in some places too.

Monopoly? Very British!
Shortbread? (Not sure where you are!)
Dr Who DVD.
Almost all of the BBC DVD's are popular with my friends. (Prime Suspect in particular.)
Hope you find something.0 -
Dear Ms Chocoholic
Lived in Germany for a bit and they are much better at Christmas than we are in the UK.
If giving a gift to adults they appreciate spirits- schnapps is traditional but would be coals to newcastle.
For the family they like candles/lanterns, nativity things that light up.
Would also suggst food . traditional english stilton, port, scottish shortbread, or christmas pudding which they do not usually eat.
All have been welcomed. Maybe they were being nice but they did say mint sauce was disgusting

Thanks for all your replies - at least I can now go shopping with some good ideas as to what to get them rather than just wandering round in a daze !!!
