Forgive me if this is a silly question, but i overheard someone talking about buying a house thru a pension scheme....is this possible?
My friend is self-employed, mortgage free & was looking for another house & keeping the 1st as a BTL. As such has no pension at the mo, as he's frozen his private one & sees the 1st house as his pension for the future.
Hope my ramblings make sense, any advice is much appreciated, thanks

No, it's not allowed. There was a plan to let people invest SIPPs in residential property but it was cancelled.Trying to keep it simple...0
