Had a call earlier from there collections dept. Spoke to a South African guy who was so polite i couldn't actually he was calling from Collections. Anyway he asked if i could pay any money towards my debt and i said i couldn't as i've already paid my money to CCCS. he was fine with this and noted it on my account. He then also noticed that last month they took £135 direct from my Lloyds account without my authorisation. He then said he would credit £65 back as a gesture of good will.
How very strange!!

If you owe Lloyds the money, technically you should give it back. Morals are a b*tch. All comments made and advice given are my own opinions and do not represent the views or advice of any debt advice organisation.

I started losing my morals at 16, the day that hunk I'd thought I'd love forever decided he liked cherries, & a lovely time I had too.
Consider it a Christmas bonus & enjoy it. Life's too short, & you can always go to confession & join the queue of "I shouldn't have done it, but I really enjoyed it at the time" folks if really bothers you. You thought the money had already gone to them, & they've probably made more than £65 in interest in the few minutes it took the man to tell you he'd refund the money. He said he was doing it as a gesture of goodwill, so use it to do some good for yourself or your family. If you can't make use of goodwill at Christmas, when can you?BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."
