No you don't need to, as an alternative you can reheat it and have it for dinner later.0

Just before Christmas I inventoried my freezer and found a tub of turkey leftovers from Christmas 2018. It made a lovely curry.0

I just portion it into zip lock bags or tubs and freeze, works fine.0

No just freeze in portion and reheat in gravy.0
