Hi,

Please could someone advise me of a realistic amount to put on my SOA for groceries. I have a family of 4 - 2 adults , one teenager, a 6 year old and a cat!

A realistic amount is what you actually pay - or would pay if you were not in debt. Remember its not just food, its dry cleaning, household textiles/linen, cleaning, pet food, packed lunches etc. If you are currently spending less than you feel you really need because you are in debt then think about what you would reasonably need to spend if you were not in debt. That would probably give you an acceptable figure.
