I'm ready to be debt free!

Unlike a lot of stories I've read so far, I've actually been comfortable in debt for about the past 8 years. Comfortable as in - I've been paying minimum payments and trying to live my life and forget they are there. Through my twenties, I lived life as if nothing mattered. I partied, over-spent, lived beyond my means and guess what? I've finally woken up and it's both irritating and liberating at the same time.
Living in London and living a fast life has meant I've amounted around £11,117 in debt. I'm not happy with what I've done but I'm also not going to beat myself up about the debt I've amassed. There have been great experiences, I've made great friends, learnt a hell of a lot about the world, myself - but I'm now ready to take ownership of the mess I've created on-route. My plan is to save an emergency fund of £1,000 and then start snowballing my debts. All my debts are unsecured: payday loans, credit cards and catalogues and I'm ready to say au revoir to them all, step-by-step.
If anything, I've learnt support helps you change, and that's why I've ended up here - I'd love to hear your journey too!
Right, I'm off to fill out the SOA calculator, wish me luck! :rotfl:
