Bank of Ireland is the worst lender - avoid them

Options
I just thought I would warn anyone thinking about borrowing with this bank (including through Post Office money) to look elsewhere. Their customer service is the worst of any bank I have dealt with - they give misleading and false information on charges, cannot even get through to the right person half the time after long waiting times and going through an endless telephone banking menu. In the two years that I was with them not once did the website work in terms of being to set up and online account to manage my mortgage. They are effectively a zombie bank so once your fixed rate deal is up you're look at interest rates north of 5%, with no new products on offer. They also added in stealth exit fees when I changed lender.
