A, or the option to open a help to buy ISA, so I'm very limited
Hopefully it is sorted, do you know how long it takes for your credit score to become good after 2 defaults ?
Help to Buy ISAs are available until 30 November 2019. They won't be available to new savers after this date,
So no chance there.
6 years till they drop off.
Are you declaring this cash anywhere as earnings?

It’s not illegal to be paid in cash so long as the relevant tax/NI (if applicable) is paid.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

No, but if they're telling the bank their income is zero that might be a problem.
Although I think there's a CIFAS or NH entry that's causing these issues. Students get offered stupid amounts of credit with no income nowadays.0 -
Another factor is as I'm a student I dont have the option of an overdraft - which may be a blessing in disguise, or the option to open a help to buy ISA, so I'm very limitedI've been in branch and applied, initially it is accepted then after 2 days max they decline it and some banks dont even offer the basic bank account after this0

Even Basic accounts? Then 90% likely this is a CIFAS/NH marker. You really should contact those entities directly, don't assume just because a third party freebie (credit karma etc) says there isn't a marker.
When you apply, is there a wierd sort of situation where the account is maybe opened then immediately closed? That's an indicator.Peter
