I'm a student so I work part time and paid in cash
£1000 is not a lot for 6 months

Are you declaring this cash anywhere as earnings?
  • Try other banks then - there's plenty out there to choose from

    Why is this relevant?

I have honestly tried all of them
  • Why can you not get paid by BACS or other?

You'll just have to stick with Monzo for now then until your credit history starts "improving".

Have you checked CIFAS and National Hunter?

Ahh my mistake I was worried I would have a CIFAS not a CCJ - this isn't the case.

My employer operates mainly in cash as its a small business, I will ask hopefully they can!

Another factor is as I'm a student I dont have the option of an overdraft - which may be a blessing in disguise, or the option to open a help to buy ISA, so I'm very limited

Hopefully it is sorted, do you know how long it takes for your credit score to become good after 2 defaults ?

That's irrelevant since your "score" isn't used in lending decisions

So what is it based on?

Thank you! I will have a look at these - is this available in London?
