Refund for Network Railcard

Hello
I bought a Network Railcard to save me on my occasional trips to London for work. I was worried it would not work for peak times, so spent some time looking at their, rather confusing, pages on the types of tickets it works with. As it said that I could use it for Anytime tickets, I assumed it was fine for the morning train. However, when I tried to use it for a ticket it turned out that you can't use it before 10am.
I know this is in the T&Cs, but it seems to me that this should be obvious in their FAQs and other marketing information on their website. I'm trying to get a refund, but understand they just don't give them.
This seems so unacceptable in an age of cooling off periods and better consumer protection. Can anyone advise on how I could get my money back, or take them to task for this unscrupulous behaviour?
Thanks
Wiz

This is what the first search on Google says
"Network Railcard discounts are not valid on tickets for travel before 10.00hrs, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). This time restriction applies to all types of tickets. You can use your Network Railcard to get discounts on tickets for travel at any time on weekends and public holidays."
The actual conditions say
"4.2. Network Railcard discounts apply for travel at or after 10.00 Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays) and any time on weekends. Discounts apply to services in the Network Railcard area only (see network-railcard.co.uk/map). "
The FAQ say "Why can’t the Network Railcard be used before 10:00 Monday to Friday? You allege, wrongly, that it is not there
A: The Network Railcard is designed to promote off-peak leisure travel. This means that it encourages people to use trains outside of the busy commuting period which occurs before 10.00 Monday to Friday.
How much clearer can they make it?
If I were investing I would do some checking although I did find out that a Senior Rail Card wasn't valid on a train at 03.38a.m. which surprised me a bit.0
