Semi-automatic breadmaker!

I recently bought a Russell Hobbs Rapide Breadmaker, and was really disappointed at the results. I had decided to pass it on or just use it to bake my own dough, but last night had a go at the Dough programme using my own white bread recipe. It looked really good when done, had risen much more than when I used the white bread programme, so just switched it to bake, and the bread was lovely!
So will be keeping it now and using it this way - perhaps anyone else with a not so good model could try this method.
One day I'll buy myself a Panasonic!!
