The reality is all brand new cars lose a ridiculous amount of money in the first 3 years, and most of loss is in the first 1 year, you can pick up a brand new car drive around the block and return to the dealer and he will offer you 3 to 5k less than you paid 15 mins ago
you bought the car when it was 6 months old but you still bought it when the was losing the most money ie: within the first 3 years
the chances are you did have some negative from your last car as the dealers only pays trade price and as we all know its far lower than you can get by selling private but private buyers will be put off a car with outstanding finance so the dealer has got us again
the reality is new or nearly new cars a very expensive and pcp is an expensive was to run a car
the way i buy cars is i put the equivalent of a pcp payment away in a saving account and just pay cash, its less hassle and less stress and at least you have an asset to show for all the hard work
you will always be in neg with pcp's as thats how they are structured until the last month when the balloon is due and thats when most people go for a new deal and start the cycle all over again“People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”
