Student Loan on backpay

Hi

I graduated in 2004, and usually pay approx £32 p/m student loan. We get a pay award in December, which is backdated to April. With a result the amount taken off my Student Loan is £84 for the month. I presume this is because they think that's what I earn every month from that date forward. Am I eligible to claim it back? - I could do with the money! Am I also eligible to claim for previous years, as it happens every year

Thanks in advance for any advice, .

If you are over the threshold and already make repayments that extra amount would still be due if you received the pay increase at the time. You pay 9% of X now or 9% of X/9 for each of the 9 months back to April.
