    OP, check out the Debt Free Wannabe board. You should do an SOA (statement of affairs) which gives you a clearer picture of where all your money is going each month. Consolidating is almost always a bad idea. You have already had to take on loans more than once so you have already shown that managing money is tough for you. It's not a criticism, it's just a history lesson - you need to learn to manage your finances, it's a skill to be learned, it's not one we are born with. Don't go ahead on that consolidation loan until you've spent some time on the DFW board and tackled the budget.
