Hi there
I'm buying terrace house from housing associations through right to buy everything went all right mortgage etc. Now my solicitor send me email saying housing associations got overage provision on obviously my lender is refusing to accept overage. My question is which lender accept overage provision on mortgage? It's a 2 bed terrace house there is no such land or anything for future developments. I need a help. Regards

    What does the overage provision say? Sounds a bit odd for a housing association to impose one.
  • Overage provisions are complicated and there's no one size fits all answer to your query.

    From experience, Nationwide will consider such scenarios if their charge has priority over the overage agreement. There might be other lenders as well.

    However, there might well be other complicating factors in the overage provision.
