Release of Equity from
Mortgage_Headache
20 years ago I took out a mortgage with my mother to purchase a new home. I am now in a position that I would like to remortgage solely in my name (due to my mothers age) and release the equity from the property. However it would appear that my name was not ever on the title deeds as co-owner which makes the process far more complicated.
Does anyone know if this is even possible that we were able to purchase the property together but me not be registered as an owner or have any advice about how this could be rectified?

Perfectly possible to be named on the mortgage but not the title deeds.
You'll need to remortgage and purchase the property in your own name. Though a number of issues may potentially arise.0
