Cheapest ways to buy in bulk?

Options
Hi all,
We're trying desperately to cut down on plastic use so have been using soap and shampoo bars for a while but it works out so much more expensive compared to own brand supermarket products. The bars are £2.60.
I'm now considering buying in bulk instead, 5l bottles for example. The cheapest I've found online are about £18 including vat and postage. Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper please?!
I'm also looking for cheap alternatives for household products (I like the refill pods for cleaning, etc.

Where are your go to cheap, plastic free alternatives from please?

It's not easy (or cheap) being green! 🐸

Thanks, Tracy
