3 fruit marmalade recipe recommendations please

Morning all. Can anyone recommend a good mixed citrus fruit marmalade recipe please? I have oranges (not seville), lemons, limes and grapefruits in the fruit bowl (but don't need to use them all!!) I've found a Waitrose 3 fruit recipe but the comments/reviews aren't 100% in favour and others are by bloggers or websites I don't know. I'd love something tried and tested please - has anyone got one they can point me towards?

Thanks

Liz

  • This recipe has come down through the family from my grandmother, and we ( Nan, Mum and myself) all made it every year. I don't make it now as my husband can't take grapefruits on his meds.

    Poor Tom Jarvis Marmalade
1 good size orange, grapefruit and lemon
    2 1/2 lb of sugar
    4 1/2 cups water.

    Qty: 5 lbs

Grate the fruit finely. Put in a large pan with sugar and water. Bring to boil and cook for 30 mins. Test for setting. Pour into clean, warmed jars.

In my Nan's handwritten cook book, which I now have, there is a note: Not once has this been known to fail!

You can also double or treble the quantities, which makes it useful if you are producing for fetes or craft fairs.

Thank you soooo much, this looks dead simple, so no boiling pips separately or anything. I'll give it a go this morning. Brilliant.

Please let us know how it turns out, I'd like to try it as it seems so easy & "faffless"
