Advice on Zappi charger quote please

Hi, I wondered if anyone who has had a Zappi charger installed can comment on this quotation please.
My installation involves going through a 275mm cavity wall, around 14m of cabling, 5m clipped externally and 9m in trunking internally and a new mini consumer unit installed in the meter box. It will be internally mounted (no separate earth required).
Zappi 207UB + Hub £649.99
Cable, Materials, Labour & Administrative costs £418.15
Subtotal £1,068.14
VAT £213.63
Total £1,281.77
Less OLEV grant £500.00
Net cost £781.77
Looking at the breakdown the prices seemed reasonable to me. (I have a friend who is a sparky - but not OLEV registered - and he said about £250 + vat for labour and materials not including a CU). I had seen prices quoted on Speak EV of about £300 after the OLEV grant in 2018 but can’t see how any contractor could do it for that after taking into account the DNO paperwork etc.
I want the Zappi not just because of the solar panels but also for the load balancing as I have an 18kw Maximum Import Capacity.
Thanks.
Ken

That sounds pretty decent to me Ken.
We paid £698 (£398 after £300 grant from the Energy Savings Trust) but ours was a really straightforward install.
Full price would have been £1198 before the OLEV grant.
Our Zappi is on the wall almost directly behind our CU so only required a short cable of a couple of feet.
Make sure your hub is as close to your Zappi as possible as a lot of people have had issues with the wireless connection if the distance is more than about 20 feet or so.Scott in Fife, 2.9kwp pv SSW facing, 2.7kw Fronius inverter installed Jan 2012 - 14.3kwh Seplos Mason battery storage with Lux ac controller - Renault Zoe 40kwh, Corsa-e 50kwh, Zappi EV charger and Octopus Go0 -
Thanks. Do the hub, charger and CT clamp all communicate wirelessly? We have quite a large house and had problems with our IBoost seeing the CT Clamp sender.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0

The hub and charger are wireless, the charger comes with one ct clamp which is hard wired and you can add one additional hard wired clamp (required if you want to view pv generation on the app). The ct cable is 5 metres and additional ct clamps are £15.
Alternatively, you could buy a Harvi for wireless ct transmission. That might be required if your Zappi is quite far from your CU or if your want to add extra ct inputs from something like a storage battery.

You'll get a lot of help and info for the Zappi here too ...... https://myenergi.info/discussion/all
One other thing, your hub connects to your broadband router by ethernet so it'll need to either sit next to your router or you could use powerline adapters if your router is too far from the Zappi to get a good wireless connection between Zappi and hub.Scott in Fife, 2.9kwp pv SSW facing, 2.7kw Fronius inverter installed Jan 2012 - 14.3kwh Seplos Mason battery storage with Lux ac controller - Renault Zoe 40kwh, Corsa-e 50kwh, Zappi EV charger and Octopus Go0 -

It's a great charger although the app still has one or two bugs needing ironed out.
Support is very good via the forum and firmware updates are pretty regular.Scott in Fife, 2.9kwp pv SSW facing, 2.7kw Fronius inverter installed Jan 2012 - 14.3kwh Seplos Mason battery storage with Lux ac controller - Renault Zoe 40kwh, Corsa-e 50kwh, Zappi EV charger and Octopus Go0
