Loan application proof
Hi,
Wondered if I could get a bit of advice about applying for a loan to finance a car.
Just for a bit of background, I work as a doctor although current I am a 'locum' i.e. technically I have no contracted hours but I am working in a full time position with regular income, more than when I was in my most recent training post. I will resume a training post in August 2020 and until then will be working full time other than a 6 week break when travelling next year. I am paid hourly but annual salary based on what I currently earn is ~£65k pre tax.
I have no other loans, use a credit card regularly which I pay back in full. My partner has an income and the mortgage is in his name.
My first question - how can I predict how much lenders would be willing to lend? I also would be wanting the lowest interest rate but aware headline rate is only representative.
Secondly, in terms of proof of income - I have payslips from August (for my current job which is contract-less) and from before then (on a lower salary but a full time contracted post). Would this suffice?
Thanks.
