How to declare credit union loan on application

Hi all, we are in the process of completing an online remortgage application with Santander. My husband has a credit union loan which is taken directly from his monthly wage and appears on his payslip. How do I declare this on the application? If I select unsecured loan it gives me the option of bank, building society, private individual etc but not credit union? Thankyou.

Just put bank or building society, you will be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. There should be a different section that asks for any payslip deductions. May be better on there.
If the credit union loan shows on credit report just put it as 'unsecured bank' or something.
If it doesn't just put it as a payslip deduction
Santander broker site definitely has a section for payslip deductions (and then asks if it is discretionary). I assume the public site does as well
Acg just posted, you wouldn't be wrong putting it as a loan. Either way it would be fine.0 -
