Prime Minister after Boris Johnson prediction

I think many people felt there was an overarching principle here: a majority had voted to leave, so that's what ought to happen. Anything else would be tinkering with democracy.
I believe it's what should happen, even though I voted remain.
The only person offering guaranteed Brexit was Johnson. That's why he kept repeating "Get Brexit done; " a trite message which worked.
I agree Labour weren't offering a credible alternative, but that was secondary, as was Johnson's deeply flawed personality.
Johnson may have a deeply flawed personality, but he is a populist who wants power which for me is preferable to an ideologue. He has shown himself to be cunning, courageous and ruthless. He got the EU to reopen negotiations when they said they wouldn’t. That IMO is the sort of person we want on our side. I recall a chap called Winston Churchill had a deeply flawed personality. And I’m no Johnson fan.
Incidentally I agree with much of what you wrote, but Corbyn was repellant to traditional socialists, and he was a big factor. Anti semitism. Marxism. Lacking pride in the UK. Not supporting the armed forces. Mmmm.0 -

It's not the sort of person we want on our side, because fighting a war and negotiating a favorable trade deal are two completely different things.
Boris has played his hand in the early stages and now the EU know what they are dealing with when it comes to the drawn out brexit process.
He is bad karma for the UK and if he succeeds then it will be very bad for us.0 -
I don't think Starmer will stand a cat in hell's chance of being elected. I don't think he will get the backing he needs. The new leader will be a female Corbyn-clone backed by Momentum.
Therefore, the PM after Boris Johnson will be......Boris Johnson. In fact I think we will get a Tory Government for at least the next decade.I used to be seven-day-weekend0 -

Agreed, Labour will remain a second-rate opposition party while Momentum are pulling the strings.Every generation blames the one before...
