in Cutting tax
I know lot of people file tax return on their own and somehow I find it is very difficult to understand and ensure that I am providing all and correct the info. I want to be sure I am not breaking any rules or providing incorrect info. Also, if I am in another country, it may be even more difficult due to income from abroad.
What is the most economical and convenient option to get it done through professional accountants /tax consultants? What are usual charges/fees?
Thanks in advance for the help.

It all depends on how complicated your tax affairs are. A simple return, say a salary, some personal pension contributions and interest income, with all information provided up front is about an hour's work, say £100 + vat.
However, if you're got that plus UK capital gains, business income, overseas income which requires double taxation relief it could well be a few hours work.
If I were you I'd try it yourself and see where you get to. Then, if you've got questions come back on here to see if you can get answer.
Finally, don't forget if you're looking at a 2018-19 return, the deadline for an online submission and payment of tax is 31 January 2020. I'd guess most accountants are pretty busy at this time of year to take on a new client.1 -
I used to do tax returns for people I play rugby with & I tended to charge around £100 for them. You may find a self employed bookkeeper locally to you that could help. I guess the other thing to consider would be registering online to submit the tax return, i.e. getting a UTR etc1
