Yes; same as Virgin did.

However Avanti are unable to offer the seat selector facility, which Trainline used to provide for Virgin, as Trainline signed an  exclusivity deal with Virgin.

So TFW use them to. And it's them or Avanti who will be paying up for today's storm at least they shouldn't have too much trouble communicating with each other in deciding who pays my compo.

a preference, which may or may not be met, yes.

but a seat selector? definitely not.

National Rail Enquiries does not sell tickets but will redirect to a train company site; the only train company sites that offer seat selectors are XC and LNER, and even then that's for their own services only.
