bit of a strange one, is it possible to stay the same weight but your belly become bigger/fatter?
I eat a lot of junk food, I'm 13 stone 2 pounds and i've not lost or gained any weight but i worry with my bad eating habits, my belly would look fatter even if i don't gain any weight??

You would more than likely increase in weight along with your body weight increase. But a lot of your weight is also muscle mass, if you are gaining weight but losing muscle then this could be a temporary reason as to why you're not gaining weight on the scales.
When I've been going to the gym and dieting before now, I've often been told it's more accurate to measure your waistline than it is to use the scales0 -
I wouldn't be worrying about the outside, Id be more concerned about the unseen damage you are doing to your insides from eating a junk diet
even the slimmest person can develop clogged arteries from eating a high fat/high sugar diet0 -
Actually you are gaining, you may not be seeing a significant change.0

Yes I notice a huge difference from eating junk.
If I eat junk food on the weekend my belly is really bloated and fat on a Monday, eventhough I havent put any weight on on the scales.
When I eat good through the week my belly feels much flatter by the Friday eventhough theres no change on the scales.0 -
What you need to do is the String Test
This measures your waist to height ratio
Start by cutting a piece of string to the length of your height.
The next step, is to fold the piece of string in half and wrap it around your middle.
If the two ends of the string struggle to meet, your visceral fat level is too high.
Visceral fat is body fat that’s stored within the abdominal cavity, and too much can put you at a higher risk of developing diabetes and heart disease.
Belly fat is not just something seen in overweight people - even those who are considered normal weight can be seen with a big of overhang.0
