Taking out a loan is possibly not the answer, you may need to increase your income temporarily to get over the bank charge hurdle and then repay people out of your wages.

I was 19 when I got my first loan, so I don't know if its that. And they don't always record searches, so you never know if you haven't checked your report.
With regards to the loan, maybe a 0% balance transfer deal on a CC instead of a loan though, so at least you're not paying interest?

You can post your SOA on ths thread if you like! Welcome to the boards &sorting things out! Post your SOA and start a spending diary meanwhile. I wouldnt apply for any more credit at this stage as you need to investigate who will give you credit by checking your credit rating, there is an article about this on Martins main pages,

there you go nice linky for you! Every time you request credit it affacts your rating so hold fire until you know whats on it!
Also get used to the boards & have a look round! Theres loads on here and places such as old style boards help reduce shopping etc so savings to be made all over the place!
