pheasant and shortbread

....no not together :rotfl:

Just have two unrelated questions...

How many people (greedy people) will 2 pheasants feed?

How long does shortbread last once you've made it (without freezing).

Many thanks :T

shortbread...know where you are coming from but it isn't for us to eat (well not all of it) ... it's for presents.

Pheasants - sounds a bit obvious, but it really does depend on the size of the pheasants! If you have a brace (1 male and one female) then there should be enough breast meat for 3 easily (one breast per person from larger bird, smaller bird two breasts for one hungry meat-eater or two people if in combination with leg meat or loads of veg), plus the legs on the larger bird will serve another two people generously, the legs on the smaller bird another 1 or 2.

Shortbread will keep in an airtight tin for about a week. I made Greek shortbread one year because it will keep for longer - up to a month - due to the almonds (I think): I packed it into plastic bags with loads of icing sugar and put the sealed plastic bags into various pretty boxes and containers.
Here is one recipe (loads of other on the net) ouzo and cinnamon are optional.
