First time buyer

Me and my wife have been married for 4 years! I have a mortgage on my house in my name only and also on the house deeds is my name only. Does that make my wife a First Time Buyer?

Please can someone give me accurate advice there seems to be so many differing notions!

She is a FTB, you are not. If you buy a property jointly, you won't be eligible for the FTB exemption.

A first time buyer for what purpose? There isn't a universal definition.

Classed for what purpose though? SDLT relief? A particular mortgage product? An ISA? Something else? They all have different rules.
