How do you store and organise your medications?

Having started the year with a few elective medications, I end the year with four prescriptions for life, plus another four elective tablets to take each day.
How is everyone storing their meds at home, and how do you organise your daily doses, especially when away from home, pls? Is it worth buying some sort of bag or case to organise them?
I'm poorly organised and forgetful so any ideas appreciated

I use a weekly pill box that has AM and PM.
I have 4/5 for life and 2 elective. Friday nights are the worst for me as I take 11 tablets then. I just have a routine to refill on on a Saturday. Take the AM when I get up and the PM before going to bed. Nice and simple0 -
Dad stores his medication in a clear plastic box with the medication names facing outwards so he can easily see how many boxes he has of which. He uses three old blood sugar test strip containers for daily medication (morning, noon, evening) but he does have to refill them every night.
I personally use a dosette box so I can remember if I've taken my medication that evening (though I do need reminding despite the alarm on my phone - but this way I don't imagine I've taken it I haven't, or forget that I've already taken it and take a dose again). I store the individual plastic strips in a small box so when I refill my dosette box and find I'm down to the last week's worth, I know to order more. I also keep occasional medication in there so I can easily see how much I have of that too. Though just to clarify, I'm not necessarily advising taking the strips out of their boxes - for my medication, it's extremely clear which is which because one has large pills and one has tiny pills. But it's usually best to keep it in the cardboard boxes to prevent any mix-ups :eek:0 -
I carry a stash of meds in my bag, I keep a stash of my as required meds at work, I keep my spares at home in a drawer.
I only take four different meds a day.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
I take 11 per day and wouldn't be without this daily organiser:

I can see at a glance if I've taken what I should have, and all that needs doing is filling up the 7 boxes once a week.
I store the boxed medicines in a large Tupperware box, and generally keep track each week at refill as to how much I have and when I need to re-order.
The Tupperware box and pill box live downstairs.
I have a few spare pills of the main really can't miss tablets in handbag and bedside table.0 -
I have the plastic containers with 7 compartments. One for morning, one for evening. I have recently had a new diabetes med, one injection in the tum, once a week. This has to be stored in the fridge so I rely on my memory. OH usually reminds me as well.0

I just leave them in their boxes, still in the bag from the chemist. 11 a day also, but all at the same time.
I have a few styles of pillboxes for when I'm away - I have a weekly one for longer trips, a smaller one that folds in half and locks (sometimes the weekly one pops open and I end up with a bag full of pills) and for one night trips, I use the plastic container from inside of a kinder egg.0 -
I have a caddy with 7 strips of 4 individual 'doors' i.e. for each day, room to store pills for breakfast, lunch, tea and supper. I inherited this caddy from Dad, who died 8 years ago. It is about the size of a paperback book.
Refills are kept in an old ice cream box. I refill caddy on Sunday, if I need to reorder, tear off the end flap of the medicine carton so I can see the name and dosage of the medicine, and reorder via GP website.
Pharmacy text me when ready for collection. Check that correct medicine and dosage has been dispensed and is inside carton when I collect. (There have been mistakes).
I give myself an injection every two weeks for high cholesterol. On the day/time it is due, I have a small piece of coloured card in the corresponding compartment, to remind myself.0 -
